New Noise updates with absolutely nothing from me. Computer fell in on itself like a hobo's bladder, and between that little clusterfuck and finding out the week's worth of research I'd put into the column was rendered moot by someone else calling dibs on "The Grey Album," I couldn't manage the energy to do it all again. Somewhere between weakness and lazy stubbornness is a big part of my that wants to fold its arms and pout at the idea of starting all over. So I didn't.

Still, a lot worth noticing, aside from the usual quality writing from Matt Hill and the rest (true talent is Davine making me give a damn about The Stranglers new album), I love the way the site grows between issues. #3 brings in mp3 hosting and a playlist for a soundtrack you're incouraged to download by any means necessary. Both good ideas, and the free stuff with the big thumbs up for going internet pirate are very attractive. The sort of thing that gets people in and then gets them reading.

Three pieces due this weekend. I also need to redo the comic pages lost in the crash, and do something serious with the short story I'm cobbling together. There's an eventual decision to be made, I think, about the amount of time and energy spent on free stuff; time and energy that could be spent on writing something that might have money attached. Comp albums aren't edible, and all that. Later though, when the bed's not so tempting.

Here to test Blogrouter's picture handling and to make the girlies go "aw," Quasi.

Resolution: Blogrouter's down for the day to be upgraded. All is well.

In the meantime, somebody explain to me in teemy tiny words why it's a bad horrible thing for kids to be exposed to violent movies, but that's suddenly made okay if, at the beginning of two hour's worth of some dude getting the shit beat out of him, somebody points at dude and says "That's Jesus."

Blogrouter's on the fritz at the moment, so I'm having to test the new design by manually posting. Which sorta defeats the whole thing I'm trying to do here, ha ha.

Swank new design by murder hurricane Max Fenton.

O Future! My cruel mistress!

Let's get this out of the way fast. The gist: a grounded version of the MOBILE.NOISE mailing list, broadcasted on a T-Mobile Sidekick powered by sneakware Blogrouter. A work journal/moblog of the year Shit Gets Done; words about words about music, comics, and other things. Ten-to-one the whole thing collapses into some sort of Dante-esque hell of Quizzila results and Evanesence lyrics. Either way, hi.
